Tonight we visit four countries and hear four bands, the last gasp of BIG BAND JAZZ in the 1960's and 1970's: GERMANY, CUBA, GREAT BRITAIN and the U.S.A.
BERT KAEMPFERT and his GERMAN orchestra start our journey with 2 smooth-as-silk arrangements, then from CUBA it's PEREZ PRADO and his mambo magic. Two numbers by TED HEATH and his band take us across the pond to ENGLAND, and we finish with the high voltage of COUNT BASIE in the USA!
A classical FRENCH TOUCH by FRANCIS POULENC puts us on the ballet stage with THE MODEL ANIMALS.
