GERM on ZOOM: June 30, 2021

At our GOLDEN ERA RECORDED MUSIC Project every Wednesday night, we explore together LP RECORDS from every corner of the world, 1948 to 1988.

Tonight we will start with the complete CREATION DU MONDE by DAVE BRUBECK'S teacher, DARIUS MILHAUD. I will then play from last week's gig an original BRUBECK piece from the time of his Milhaud tutelage.

Our first UNSUNG ROCKERS BREAKOUT has unearthed 3 from the “A” section of my VINYL VAULT. We'll play 2, U pick 'em.

It's on to the conclusion of WAGNR'S DAS RHEINGOLD; Folks who missed the VIENNA  ANVIL ORCHESTRA describing the Nibelungen slaves hammering gold & silver will get to hear it as WOTAN and LOGE go back up the sulfur cleft to VALHALA. And then, O my! the RAINBOW BRIDGE and the PROCESSION of the GODS.

Time allowing, we will close with RACMANINOFF on TWO PIANOS.
