We gather on Wednesday at our Golden Era Recorded Music Project to listen to the astonishing LP records, worldwide, AKA the GOLDEN ERA (1948 to 1988).
BLUEGRASS is an almost exclusively white American musical idiom and we will be sampling one of the best bands: THE DOMINION BLUEGRASS BOYS straight from WEST VIRGINIA!
LESTER FLATT & EARL SCRUGGS lead to ZZ TOP showing the FRANK ZAPPA influence in TV DINNERS
and finally: ROSSINI and his SEMIRAMIDE OVERTURE with GEORG SOLTI and the COVENT GARDEN OPERA ORCHESTRA on a stunning RCA “Shaded Dog!”
If time allows, ERNESTO LACOUNA (the CARIBBEAN GERSHWIN) and SIBONEY by MORTON GOULD
We will go home with the LENNON SISTERS in our ears and hearts!
We send out a link for the Zoom meeting every Wednesday by email! Please contact us and let us know if you'd like to be added to the mailing list.
See you all at 7 pm TONIGHT!
