The GOLDEN ERA of RECORDING was 1948 to 1988, when great musicians, great engineers and great human spirits all came together and created an astonishing musical archive. Join our exploration every Wednesday evening on the GERM project.
Tonight we will continue our GREAT AMERICAN SYMPHONY exploration with CHARLES IVES and his 2nd Symphony, a combination of European classical tradition and Yankee ingenuity.
A trip back to the 14th century and the late Renaissance will feature the vocal music of England's JOHN DUNSTABLE and the Franco-Flemish GULLAUME DUFAY.
Did you know there once was an LP RECORD COMPANY in Lake George: GARNET RECORDS. We will hear a rare folk recording with TEDD BROWNE, telling of the founding of GLENS FALLS!
BILLY ECKSTEIN in a pop classic and the SWINGLE SINGERS vocalizing J. S. Bach will complete our musical meal.
We send out a link for the Zoom meeting every Wednesday by email! Please contact us and let us know if you'd like to be added to the mailing list.
See you all at 7 pm TONIGHT!
