Our Golden Era Recorded Music project continues tonight (Wednesday, Oct 16) with one hour of music by three great female vocalists: ELLA FITZGERALD, DINAH WASHINGTON and JULIE LONDON.
The incredible legacy of GOLDEN ERA recordings on vinyl is enriched by these three artists in ways we will explore by listening to their ORIGINAL LP records. The personal and artistic story of each artist will frame the music listening. This is just one of many programs about jazz and popular music that we have planned for future GERM presentations as we explore the music of the entire planet EARTH!
It has been said that, in the landscape of music, there are two towering Mount Everests; one is called CLASSICAL, the other is called JAZZ. We love both, and the GOLDEN ERA (1948-1988) RECORDED MUSIC project is climbing both peaks!
We are pursuing TOTALLY lifelike reproduction of vinyl musical recordings by continual improvements to our FIBHORN speaker systems, and tonight we will hear our current "state of the art." Some of these records are so good, they will sound as if we have raised the dead!

The listening is from 7 to 8 pm, FIBHORN GALLERY, 21 Thomson Ave, GF. Refreshments served, free and open to the public.
