Fibhorn
The project will track Haydn's development of the Classical Symphony from his first happy days working for Prince Esterhazy to his introduction of the first symphony in a minor key. With an expanded orchestra at his disposal and musicians of the highest caliber, Haydn demonstrated in these works an astonishing inventiveness in every aspect of his music making. This was the time of his first contact with Mozart, leading to a lifelong affectionate friendship.
The event is free (from 7 to 8 pm); tea and refreshments will be served.
